The story of this watch continues beyond the auction. Its sale has enabled us to award a grant to Willow Foundation, helping to create a Special Day for a young adult living with an incurable illness.
An incurable diagnosis can stop life in its tracks at a time when a young adult should be looking to the future. Suddenly, everyday life can become centred around hospital appointments and treatment.
Willow’s Special Days offer a chance to step away from that routine and focus on something entirely different. Each experience is planned directly with the young adult and shaped around something they would really enjoy. Whether that’s a peaceful stay in a wildlife lodge, meeting someone they admire or even taking a surfing masterclass.
Our grant will help to create lasting memories for a young adult and their loved ones.
