Richard Noble OBE’S Rolex Daytona Cosmograph came to our auction with a remarkable history. Gifted to Richard by Lord Bamford following the JCB Dieselmax land speed record project, it represents a significant piece of British engineering history.
Its sale has now enabled Buying Time to make our largest grant to date, supporting Trekstock’s new online exercise programme for people in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s living with and beyond cancer.
Our grant will fund access to Trekstock’s new triage system, where participants are assessed by an oncology physiotherapist before being directed towards exercise support tailored to their individual needs,
For young people facing cancer, treatment, fatigue and loss of strength and confidence can make exercise difficult. Accessing appropriate specialist support can be another barrier. This new system, will help make sure people receive the right support for them, wherever they are in the UK.
From a watch associated with pushing the boundaries of what was possible, its sale will now help break down barriers of a very different kind.
Because of you, more young people living with cancer will be able to access tailored exercise support when they need it most.
