We are delighted to have made a grant to support the remarkable work of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
In applying for the grant, the charity outlined its focus on children living with epilepsy and other neurological conditions that can cause sudden, life-threatening seizures.
For these children, time is not abstract - it is counted in seconds.
Our funding provided 280 emergency medication cases for children at severe risk of seizures. In emergency, the difference between escalation and stability often comes down to how quickly medication can be found and administered. These cases are designed to make that possible.
In a very real sense, these cases help families buy time.
The charity describes each case as a simple intervention - one rooted in the same principle that defines our work: in the moments that matter most, time is everything.
