The No1 of any watch series is incredibly special and is normally kept by the manufacturer, but also, this is no ordinary watch model.
For Cheltenham Festival 2025, The Jockey Club sought to create something extraordinary: a limited-edition watch incorporating material from an original racing shoe worn by legendary racehorse Golden Miller.
Golden Miller's five consecutive Cheltenham Gold Cup victories (1932-1936) remain unmatched. He is the only horse to win both the Aintree Grand National and Gold Cup in the same year (1934).
When entrusting such a prestigious project, The Jockey Club chose Brooklands Watch Company a natural fit given that Golden Miller's owner, the Hon. Miss Dorothy Paget, was also a significant sponsor of Brooklands race track.
The Luckiest Watch Ever Made?
The Golden Miller Racing Chronograph is limited to just 100 pieces. This unique stainless steel chronograph, based on our Triple Four design by Sir Terence Conran, features extraordinary details that make it truly special.
The lucky buckle – crafted from bronze alloy incorporating an original 1934 Golden Miller racing shoe.
The caseback ring has seven sapphires either side to represent the luckiest number of nails in a horseshoe.
The sapphires are rare yellow and blue – the racing colours of Dorothy Paget.
The exhibition caseback – reveals a bespoke rotor and decorated automatic movement.
The historic badge – numbered in the style of the 1934 Cheltenham Steeplechase Club Ladies Badge, made by WO Lewis, badge makers to The Jockey Club for over 180 years.
The special commission – Golden Miller portrait by Emily Johnson, offcial Artist in Residence at Cheltenham Racecourse, styled as a 1930s cigarette card.

This image of the caseback of No2 shows how the yellow and blue sapphires complement the blued screws and gold gearwheels of the beautifully finished movement.
