This complication has been designed and patented by Brooklands Watch Company.
It requires a chronograph with a second hand that rotates once every 10 seconds. To quickly produce a demonstrator, Brooklands Watch Company bought a new production Zenith Chronomaster Sport and fitted their patented High Speed Tachymeter bezel.
This Chronograph can still time events to 1/10th of a second, but can also show the speed of a sports car, supercar or hypercar over a distance of one standing mile or one standing kilometer. The theoretical resolution is 2mph at just under 270mph.
