The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust

Two families have a child receiving frequent invasive hospital treatment. One family is also coping with the bereavement of a sibling to the newly diagnosed child. They are a single income family, however the working parent is a taxi driver, so they have a loss of income when unable to work. This money would help both families with their bills, buying food and clothing and assist with costs when staying in hospital.

The fourth family have a small child with a recent relapse who has started chemo for their remaining eye. The family are being forced to move as they cannot renew their rental contract. They have a lot of bills to pay. Their child has been having hospital appointments every 3 weeks for the past 18 months for which they have to travel long distances. They are experiencing terrible worry about the possibility of damage to their young child’s remaining eye on top of their financial problems.
