Description
Kindly donated by Craig and Sarah Golby, this Aquareef 40 is a one-off produced for The Buying Time Foundation and is called Nemo in Orange & Aqua.
The Golby aesthetic is inspired by the British coastline. Integrating these influences into gender-neutral designs that are vibrant, accessible and pragmatic. Blending adventure-ready practicality with coastal-inspired design, the Aquareef 40 brings a fresh chapter to Golby’s growing story. Featuring the brand’s trademark oil-pressed dial, bold new colourways, and a host of engineering upgrades, this new model evolves the original Aquareef DNA into a dual-time tool watch designed for both land and sea.
Dual Time. Double Impact.
The Aquareef 40’s internal rotating chapter ring, controlled via a screw-down crown at 2 o’clock, allows wearers to effortlessly track a second time zone — the perfect companion for travel, business, and global lifestyles.
Complementing this is a 120-click sapphire glass countdown bezel with BGW9 Super-Luminova, offering clarity and function in all lighting conditions.
Built for Adventure
· Case: 40mm bezel sat on a 39mm custom 316L stainless steel case, brushed finish
· Profile: 11.5mm thick, 47mm lug-to-lug
· Crystal: Flat sapphire with 5x AR coating for scratch resistance and clarity
· Water Resistance: 20ATM (200m) — dive-ready confidence
Refined Engineering
At its heart, the Aquareef 40 houses the Miyota 9015 automatic movement, a proven Japanese calibre renowned for its slim profile, reliability, and precision. With a 42-hour power reserve, 24 jewels, 28,800 bph, and hacking functionality, it’s built for longevity.
Other refinements include:
· Updated Golby branding on dial, crown, and bracelet
· Screw pins replacing split pins, plus extra removable links
· Larger hour markers to increase the lume visibility
· Sapphire Crystal bezel insert
· The “Lift & Slide” micro-adjust clasp for 12mm of on-the-fly adjustments
· Exhibition open case back with sapphire glass and custom wave design rotor
Every Aquareef 40 ships on a steel bracelet with a matching FKM rubber strap, screwdriver, warranty card, and hard-shell travel case.
