Description
Kindly donated by Christopher Ward.
Five years after the Sealander collection launched, the go-anywhere, do-anything C63 Sealander Automatic returns. And it’s more refined, more premium – and more powerful than ever. Sealander embodies Christopher Ward’s goal of bringing true watchmaking to as many people as possible, so when we embarked on the second iteration, we knew it had to be right.
As chief operating officer Sarah Baumann says: “When a watch becomes as important to customers as the Sealander has, you don’t chase change for its own sake. You focus on the details. And this new generation reflects years of listening, learning and refining.”
Purely, simply Sealander
Redesigned and slimmer Light-catcher™ case. NEW Sellita SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement with 65-hour power reserve. NEW conical crown – without guards. Fully polished bezel. Diamond-polished and tapered indexes – filled with lume. NEW in-house-designed rotor with skeletonised arm. Raised, applied date window at 6 o’clock. ‘Sealander’ logotype on the dial for the first time. The debut of iLink™, a system that enables tool-free link adjustment on Bader and Consort™ bracelets. Also available on sporty rubber strap with Bader buckle. Available in the NEW warmer White, plus Black and Sky Blue – in 36mm and 39mm. Pink variant exclusive to the 36mm and a Pistachio model that’s 39mm-only.
Sellita SW200-2 Power+
This improved incarnation of the Sellita SW200 movement delivers a generous power reserve of 65 hours. This is achieved through an optimised gear train, redesigned barrel and mainspring, enhanced automatic winding system, and updated balance assembly. This 26-jewel calibre is also more accurate than its predecessor, with an accuracy of -5/+12 seconds per day.
Finishing the movement is a new refined, skeletonised rotor: sandblasted beneath, with raised Christopher Ward text and a debossed twin-flags logo. Linear brushing across the upper surfaces contrasts with concentric circular brushing on the rotor weight – considered detailing, executed with precision.
