Buying a special watch has never meant more

Discover exceptional timepieces and help young people facing serious illness make the most of the time they have

Buying Time is a charitable foundation created in loving memory of Michael, our son. It is a place where watch enthusiasts and collectors can discover and bid on remarkable timepieces, knowing that every purchase helps young people living with a serious or terminal illness.

Through our annual auction of exceptional watches - all generously donated - we raise vital funds to help these young people make the most of the precious time they have. Life can be heartbreakingly short, and for those facing that reality, we aim to create opportunities for special moments with family and friends, while also supporting research, treatments and care.

Join us in turning timepieces into moments of hope, joy, and lasting meaning.

Auction Lot 001: A one-off piece

High Speed Tachymeter Testbed

This is a truly unique one-off chronograph donated by Brooklands Watch Company. Their patented High Speed Tachymeter works with a 5Hz/10s mechanism and the fastest way to physically test the concept was to use an existing production watch. This Zenith Chronomaster Sport is a limited edition of 500 and benefits the Susan G. Komen® foundation. The watch is in new condition and is fitted with the very first High Speed Tachymeter.  It can be used as a 1/10th chronograph or to measure the speed of a production car looking to set a World Record over 1 mile.  The current Guinness World Record Speed of 268mph is held by the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport and this record is marked on the scale.

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we've made along the way
